SYDNEY MASAKI
VIDEO ANALYSIS COACH
Sydney brings a passion for the game and a deep understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, strategy, and player development, having spent over 15 years coaching and mentoring players of all ages and skill levels. As a former attacker and draw specialist in high school and college, Sydney brings firsthand knowledge of the game to every coaching interaction. She was recruited to play Division 1 lacrosse at Fresno State and ultimately finished up her playing career at the University of San Diego where she was an All-Conference attacker.
Sydney now coaches at Cathedral Catholic High School where she serves as the varsity assistant coach working with attackers and draw takers. She has helped coach the team to 2 Western League championships (2023, 2024), 2 CIF Semi-final appearances (2022, 2024) and 1 CIF Final appearance (2023). Additionally, she coaches for Mad Dog Lacrosse in the offseason.
Throughout her career, Sydney has worked with youth programs, high school teams, club organizations, and collegiate-bound players, always with a focus on building complete athletes and well-rounded individuals. Her coaching philosophy centers on effort, accountability, and personal connection—creating a culture where athletes feel supported, challenged, and inspired to improve.
