Patrick Moynihan is an American professional ice hockey forward known for his high-energy play, two-way responsibility, and international pedigree. Born and raised with a deep passion for the game, Moynihan began turning heads as part of the prestigious USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP), where he played from 2017 to 2019, developing alongside some of the top talent in the country.

His standout performance during those formative years led to his selection by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round (158th overall) of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. That same year, he took his talents to the NCAA, joining Providence College. Over four seasons (2019–2023) with the Friars, Moynihan established himself as a dependable forward with strong leadership qualities, racking up key goals and special teams minutes.

Moynihan’s college career reached an international high point in 2021, when he won a gold medal with Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championship, contributing to one of the most memorable runs in recent tournament history.

After his senior season at Providence, Moynihan utilized his graduate eligibility to skate for the University of Notre Dame during the 2023–2024 campaign, bringing veteran experience and a relentless work ethic to the Fighting Irish lineup.

Following his collegiate career, Moynihan transitioned to the professional ranks, splitting his rookie pro season between the Idaho Steelheads and the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. His rookie year in the ECHL was marked by steady development and a continued commitment to improving his game, with an eye on rising through the professional ranks.

With a strong foundation built across junior, college, and international play, Patrick Moynihan continues to work toward making his mark at the next level.
