MIKE POSMA
VIDEO ANALYSIS COACH
Born in Pomona, New York, Mike Posma has built a hockey career grounded in leadership, perseverance, and a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of players. His journey began with the North Jersey Avalanche, before progressing to Kent School, where he developed as a person both on and off the ice. Mike went on to compete in the USHL and later played four seasons of NCAA Division I hockey at Boston College. During his collegiate career, he served as a two-year captain of the Eagles and skated alongside future NHL stars including Cutter Gauthier, Will Smith, Gabe Perrault, and Ryan Leonard—helping guide one of the most talented rosters in recent program history.
Following his graduation in 2025, Mike launched his professional career with a stint in the ECHL, appearing in four games with the Florida Everblades. He is currently signed to play the 2025–26 season with the Wheeling Nailers.
Off the ice, Mike brings over four years of coaching experience behind the bench with players ages 10–19 and has taught at elite-level skills camps across six summers in the Tri-State Area. His development work includes extensive video analysis focused on individual skill development and team concepts—bridging the gap between in-game performance and on-ice practice sessions. Mike’s passion for the game goes beyond his own career as he is deeply committed to inspiring and guiding young athletes to reach their full potential and become future stars of the sport.
