JUSTIN MICHAELIAN
VIDEO ANALYSIS COACH
A Michigan native, Justin progressed through the competitive AAA ranks with Victory Honda and the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies before making the jump to junior hockey in the BCHL, where he played for the Victoria Grizzlies from 2016–2018. He eventually earned a scholarship to play NCAA Division I hockey at Ferris State University, where he competed from 2018–2022 and served as an assistant captain in his senior season.
After his time at Ferris State, Justin transferred to the University of Maine, where he finished his collegiate career. Over the course of his NCAA career, he played in 119 games, tallying 53 points.
Following college, Justin signed with the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, the affiliate of the Iowa Wild (AHL) and Minnesota Wild (NHL). He later joined the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) and Philadelphia Flyers (NHL). He is currently playing for the Tulsa Oilers, the ECHL affiliate of the San Diego Gulls (AHL) and Anaheim Ducks (NHL).
With years of high-level experience under his belt, Justin now focuses on helping the next generation of players sharpen their skills and elevate their game. Through personalized video breakdowns, in-depth feedback, and mentorship, he provides players with the tools, habits, and mindset needed to succeed at the next level — whether it’s AAA, juniors, or college hockey.
In addition to his professional playing career, Justin has spent every offseason working with players on and off the ice, training athletes across multiple age groups and skill levels. His hands-on coaching experience has given him a well-rounded understanding of how to connect with players and help them grow in all areas of their game.
Justin brings a player’s perspective, a coach’s eye, and a genuine desire to see young athletes grow both on and off the ice.
