JACOB PETERS

VIDEO ANALYSIS COACH

Jacob has built a well-rounded foundation in basketball through years of hands-on experience as both a coach and mentor. With a background that combines on-court instruction, player development, and game film analysis, Jacob has played an important role in helping teams compete at a high level while shaping athletes into smarter, more skilled players.

He began his coaching career at the collegiate level, spending two seasons as an Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball program at Aurora University. There, he worked closely with the coaching staff on film breakdown, scouting, recruiting, and individual player development. His time at Aurora helped sharpen his understanding of the game and gave him a strong foundation in program-level operations and athlete management.

Following his collegiate experience, Jacob joined Plainfield East High School, where he served as the Freshman Boy's Basketball Head Coach and Varsity Assistant for three seasons. At Plainfield East, he was instrumental in the development of underclassmen, preparing players to thrive at the varsity level while also contributing to game planning, practice execution, and overall team culture.

Throughout his coaching journey, Jacob has worked with rosters of up to 20 players, tailoring practices to individual skill sets while fostering team chemistry and competitive spirit. His attention to detail and deep understanding of the game have made him a valuable asset in preparing scouting reports, developing player-specific training plans, and breaking down film to identify areas for growth.

Whether mentoring freshmen just starting their basketball journey or working with collegiate athletes chasing championships, Jacob brings energy, knowledge, and a genuine passion for the game.
