Cale Morris retired from professional hockey in 2024 following a four-year pro career that began

in 2020 with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks). In 2022, he

signed an NHL contract with the Chicago Blackhawks and spent two months on the taxi squad.

Over the course of 104 professional games, Cale played for several AHL teams including the

Rockford IceHogs, Chicago Wolves, and Coachella Valley Firebirds. He also saw time in the

ECHL with the Indy Fuel, Norfolk Admirals, and Kansas City Mavericks.

Cale now specializes in goaltending analysis, offering detailed, pro-level insights into the

position. As a video coach, he delivers personalized breakdowns of situational play, saves, and

goals against - highlighting strengths, identifying areas for improvement, and providing

actionable strategies to elevate performance. Whether a goalie is striving to advance to junior,

college, or the pro ranks, or simply looking to enhance their hockey IQ, Cale is committed to

helping them reach their full potential.

Prior to turning pro, Cale was a standout at the University of Notre Dame, where he served as

assistant captain his senior year and graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Business Technology. A

three-year starter for the Fighting Irish, he helped lead the team to:

  • 1× NCAA Regional Final

  • 2× B1G Ten Playoff Championships

  • 1× B1G Ten Regular Season Championship

His collegiate accolades include:

Cale’s path to college hockey began in the USHL with the Chicago Steel before being acquired

by the Waterloo Black Hawks, where he was selected to compete in the USHL/NHL Top

Prospects Game. He also represented Team USA, winning a gold medal at the 2015 World

Junior A Challenge.

Throughout his playing career, video analysis was a critical tool in his own development. Today,

Cale leverages that same approach, combined with his personal experience at the highest

levels, to guide the next generation of goaltenders to their peak performance.
