Robert “Bobo” Carpenter is a championship-winning professional hockey forward from North Reading, Massachusetts, known for his leadership, scoring ability, and consistency across NCAA, AHL, ECHL, and international competition. A Boston University alumnus and former team captain, Carpenter totaled 102 points (56G, 46A) over 144 NCAA games, helping guide the Terriers to the 2018 Hockey East Championship. He earned Hockey East Second Team All-Star honors and was recognized multiple times as a Top Performer.
Following his collegiate career, Carpenter signed a two-year, entry-level NHL contract with the New York Islanders and competed in the AHL for four seasons with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Milwaukee Admirals, registering 20 points in 60 games. He then joined the Florida Everblades (ECHL), where he served as an alternate captain and posted 97 points over 107 games — including 69 points in his final season, leading the league in playoff goals and points. During his time with Florida, Carpenter was a key contributor to three consecutive Kelly Cup championships (2022, 2023, 2024), further showcasing his ability to perform and lead in high-pressure, championship environments.
In 2024–25, Carpenter continued his success overseas with the Belfast Giants, playing a pivotal role in capturing both the EIHL League Title and the Challenge Cup in his debut season.
Hockey excellence runs in the family — Carpenter is the son of former NHL standout Bobby Carpenter and the brother of Alex Carpenter, a U.S. National Team star and 2015 Patty Kazmaier Award winner.
Now, after a decorated playing career marked by leadership and championships, Carpenter is excited to also start coaching — bringing his passion for the game, team-first mentality, and championship experience to the next generation of players.
